The election of left of left Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the UK Labour Party will have great implications for the UK political scene. I expect we will see a resurgence of definitive policy to the left and to the right, and end of the Me-Too political rhetoric so prevalent in today’s debate with both sides fighting for the centre position. Meanwhile in the US Bernie Sanders is trying to move the Democratic Party to the left.
I predict these events will cause a flow on effect to Australia, with our Labor Party rediscovering cultural, social and economic justice and post-code equity. I do hope I’m right.
