Southen Ocean Whales Get Their Day In Court

Later today the Australian legal team lead by Bill Campbell QC, gets to put their case to the International Court in the Hague for the banning of whaling in the Southern Ocean.  The Japanese team also gets to put their case for the continuation of the killing.  The stakes are high, this is a one off chance, no appeals will be heard.  New Zealand will stand beside Australia on this issue.  Australia first file our case in 2010, so this is the culmination of 3 years hard work and like the life of the 935 minke whales scheduled for slaughter in the Southern Ocean it is a do or die situation, with no right of appeal we have to win this one.  It’s time the charade of scientific whaling was brought to an end.
