Maurice Brockwell Car Run

One Fremantle Festival event is today’s Maurice Brockwell Port to Whiteman Park Classic Car Run. This started with a display on Wilson Park, before heading off to Whiteman Park.  Unlike other car events the Maurice Brockwell is open to all. This allows a wide variety of vehicle genres, though I have to say some people’s idea of classic varies from mine. There was a large turnout of Rolls Royces and Corvettes which mingled with classic vintage cars, but there was also a bog standard current model Commodore wagon, not a classic in my eyes. There was also a bit of blasphemy in an AC Cobra with a Holden motor.

Pictured are some of the cars that caught my eye, I particularly like the Jaguar XK150 and Riley.
